If Idaho Politics Was Fantasy Football

What if Idaho politics was Fantasy Football — and your goal was to pick the reddest of the red Republican to play. What would your lineup look like? Who would be the Spud State equivalent to point-producing QB Peyton Manning? Gov. Butch Otter? After all, no defensive lineman or scandal can bring him down. Your high scoring RBs? Lawerence Denney, who will be in charge of suppressing the vote as secretary of state, and Idaho GOP Chairman Steve Yates, who tries to keep the peace among warring GOP factions. Wayne Hoffman would be a good TE1 play (because he’s an extra blocker to protect the QB in the pocket). I like Harley Brown for a flex play because he has a high upside — he doesn’t score often. But when he does the nation knows about it. Get the picture? Nonini, Souza & Sims would be low-scoring options off the bench. So do you get the idea now?
