Age 85

CARLEN, Dale J.

(Age 85) Beloved father of Roger and Delbert Carlen, brother of Daryl Carlen of Clarkia, Idaho, and Dana Carlen of Spokane, WA., passed away peacefully at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane.

Dale will be missed greatly by his loved ones and friends.

A memorial has been planned at the VFW valley location on November 25, 2014 at 1pm.

Memorials, if wanted, can be given to the VFW in his name.

Dale is survived by two sons Delbert Carlen of Seattle, and Roger Carlen of Spokane; also two brothers Daryl “Bud” Carlen of Clarkia, Idaho; his sisters-in-law Jennie of Clarkia, ID and Jean of Spokane, WA; and four grandchildren.

Dale was a kind man and did not hesitate to help others.

The world has lost a great man and will never be the same for many of us.

He will be interred at the Veterans Cemetery in Spokane as was his wish.

Dale was a Veteran who served in the then Army/Air Corps from 1947-1949.

Dale loved golf and growing tomatoes, that he shared with many; and was an avid sports fan, always watching boxing or football.

He also loved his country music.

The address for the memorial is 212 S. David at the VFW on Tuesday, 1pm, November 25.

Dale was truly loved by his family and many friends.

No date as of this notice of interment at the Veterans Cemetery, will be published when known.
