Obituary: Johnson, Dorothy Alice

Age 95

JOHNSON, Dorothy Alice Dorothy was born September 24, 1919 in Spokane to John Edward and Elsie A. Johnson.

She was a Spokane resident for all but the first nine years, when she lived in Elk, WA.

She graduated from Rogers High School in 1936, an active member in Jr. Dramatics and Harding Debate clubs.

Dorothy worked for 10 years as an operator for Postal Telegraph and Western Union.

She retired to become a full time wife and mother.

Her hobbies were fishing, swimming, reading, crafts, gardening and helping her husband.

Dorothy passed away on November 19, 2014 in Liberty Lake, WA.

She was preceded in death by Elmer, her husband of 59 years and her brother, Wilbur.

She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Cheryl; two grandchildren, Chris and Alicia; two great-grandchildren; five nephews, three nieces and many cousins.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

At Dorothy’s request, no services will be held.

There will be a private family inurnment at Pines Cemetery.
