While one might think hot-blooded sports cars like the Chevrolet Corvette or Dodge Viper might garner their owners the most moving violations, think again. They actually rank in 440th and 524th place, respectively, among a database of the 526 most-ticketed models compiled by Insurance.com in Foster City, Calif., based on online quote information submitted by 557,238 drivers from January 2013 to July 2014. “It’s not about horsepower,” explains the website’s managing editor Des Toups. “The Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper rank well below average for tickets even though they can easily double the highest speed limits. But those cars are also costly, so their buyers tend to be older and take fewer risks.” By that measure here’s the top 10 list of most ticketed cars from recent model years, all of which presumably tend to be favored by younger, and/or less cautious budget-minded drivers. 1.
