Obituary: Howe, Berniece Marie (Peltier)

HOWE, Berniece Marie (Peltier) (Age 88) Berniece “Bunny” was born in Moxee, Washington, on March 25, 1926, to Herman Arman and Stella Mae (Hornbuckle) Peltier.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brothers Lloyd and Aubrey, infant great-grandson Tiny Thomas, and her husband of 51 years LeRoy Howe.

Her life truly began when she married LeRoy.

He was her heart and soul, her joy, her reason for living.

Together they raised a family with love, respect and kindness.

A family that always felt secure, happy and blessed.

They had four children, Gloria (Mike) Henning, Nancy (Deane) Smith, Judy (Larry) Stansbury and Doug (Bambi) Howe.

When her children were in high school, she got her GED, an LPN and started work in the Labor and Delivery unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC).

She continued her education and became an RN, got a degree in Nursing Administration and worked as Assistant Director of Nursing and worked at SHMC for 20 years.

Berniece and LeRoy enjoyed their children, sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, their grandchildren Jason, Dan, Kim, Jeremy, Kaci, Chris, Dustin, Andy, Keirstin, Aaron and CaraLee, and great-grandchildren Quintin, Katryna, Ashley, Zachery, Ethan, Jenna, Johnny, Wyatt, Braden and Madison.

Many happy hours were spent in their home and at their lake property north of Deer Park.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 1:00pm.
