He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Funk; and is survived by his wife Donna Knudtson Funk; his children, Holly Zylstra (Ray), Wendy Corcoran (Rob), Greg Funk(Debbi), Jon Funk (Laura); his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchild; and his sibling, Farol Stroyan.
He graduated from Gonzaga High School in 1953 and attended Gonzaga University.
He worked at Alsco Linen Service for over 43 years.
