Obituary: Bland, Morris Harold
Age 55
Morrie, (aka) Moe, was born in Great Falls, MT, on February 7, 1959 to parents Robert Bland and Merceline Leonard.
Morrie was the youngest of six children: Dale Mahan (deceased), Carol Perry, Les Bland, Roberta Berger (deceased) and Glenda Hill.
Morrie and his family moved to Bellingham, WA where he attended Marietta Elementary and Bellingham High School.
Never one to wait for life to happen, Morrie moved to Spokane where he met and married his best friend, Kathy Bland (maiden: Hallgarth).
Morrie is survived by his former wife Kathy; and their children: Misty Smith (married: Mark), Matt Bland (married: Kelli), Robert Bland, Julie Sutton (married: John) and Stephanie Bland (all of Spokane).
Later he found love in and married Laurie Hildesheim (deceased).
Morrie has been a father figure to many including Cody and Jesse Vales, Casey Hildesheim, Jessica Rife, Angel Ahmad, Tracey McPherson and Aaron Clark.
Perhaps his greatest joy and source of pride was the fact that he had become a loving grandfather to so many wonderful children: Anthony and Aric Smith, Destiny, Janessa and Makenzie Sutton, Kadyn and Kendyl Bland and Natalie Allison.
A service is scheduled for 10 am with a 9 am viewing on Saturday, October 11th, at the Salvation Army Chapel, 222 E. Indiana, reception to follow immediately.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Morrie’s life.
