Oregon authorities find teens tied to Okanogan slaying

From staff reports
Two teenagers who lived at a home near Riverside where a man was found late Sunday were located driving a stolen truck Monday afternoon, Okanogan County Sheriff Frank Rogers said. Patrick M. Alltus, 39, was found dead in his home at 151 Hosheit Road around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Rogers. Officials are not releasing the cause of death, but in a news release Rogers said there was evidence of “a lot of violence at the scene.” Authorities were looking for Parker M. Bachtold, 15, and Shalin E. Alltus, 15, who lived at the home where Patrick Alltus was found. Police in Oregon took them into custody around 3:30 p.m. south of Eugene, according to Rogers. The pair were driving a stolen vehicle. Okanogan County authorities are heading to Oregon to question the teens. The scene of the apparent homicide was still being processed Monday evening, according to Rogers.
