College roundup: Gonzaga rallies past San Francisco for five-game volleyball victory

The Gonzaga volleyball team rallied to beat San Francisco in a West Coast Conference match Thursday in San Francisco. Scores were 23-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19 and 15-9.

The Bulldogs (12-4, 3-2) were led by Savannah Blinn, who had a match-high 25 kills, and Jordan Gasser, who had 16 kills and 12 digs.

The Dons are 9-8 overall and 2-3 in the WCC.

• After dropping the opening game, Eastern Washington rebounded to beat Sacramento State (5-15, 0-5) in five in a Big Sky Conference match in Sacramento, California. Scores were 19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 18-25 and 15-12.

EWU’s Allie Schumacher had 14 kills, Talia Fermantez added 13 and Ana Jakovljevic chipped in 10 kills and 12 assists.

Sophie Miller and Nicole Rigoni combined for 40 kills for the Eagles (6-12, 2-3).

• Sarah Liva had 16 kills and 10 digs and Portland State (4-13, 2-3) beat Idaho (7-10, 3-2) in a Big Sky Conference match in Portland. Scores were 25-22, 20-25, 25-16, 23-25 and 16-14.

Ali Forde had 18 kills and 20 digs and Meredith Coba handed out 48 assists for the Vandals.
