Obituary: Rausch, Victor Lawrence

Age 87

RAUSCH, Victor Lawrence (Age 86) Victor Rausch was born on October 12, 1927 in Hoven, S.D.

and left this world with family by his side on October 2, 2014 in Chewelah, WA.

He was the fifth of six children born to Peter and Matilda Rausch.

Vic’s family moved to Chewelah area in 1937.

Graduated from Jenkins High School in 1945.

He met then married Bette Jean Allan on March 19, 1949.

They had their four children.

Bette passed away in March 1988.

He remarried in August 1989 to Grace Seabrandt.

She passed away February 2011.

He is also predeceased by his parents, four siblings, Raymond, Lorain, Irene, Florence and a stepdaughter, Randi Seabrandt Nilsson.

Vic is survived by a brother, Larry Rausch, three daughters, Vickie Mann (Marvin), Renae Schwager (Les), Pam Rausch (Ted), and a son Ken Rausch (Kim), two stepdaughters, Carolyn Wissink (Tom), Pam Crnich (Bob), twelve grandchildren, thirty-plus great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vic served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954.

He then returned to Chewelah doing some truck driving then moved to Montana working in the logging industry.

Career changed to Plumbing in 1968 and moved his family to the Spokane Valley.

He later bought his own plumbing business and finally retired in Chewelah.

Vic loved family, friends and outdoor activities whether work or play.

He will be greatly missed by all.

There will be no service at this time, family plans to have a memorial at a later date to be announced.
