Obituary: Welter, Alan Michael

WELTER, Alan Michael Born May 30, 1947, passed on September 29, 2014.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Anita Welter and his brother Dennis Welter.

Alan is survived by his companion Bette Stit.

He is also survived by two sons.

Brian Welter of Chattaroy and Brad Welter and his wife Melinda of Spokane.

Alan’s other survivors are brother Leo Welter and wife Gaye of Spokane; sister Mary Ann Solberg and husband Gary of Spokane; brother David Welter and wife Cheryl of Spokane.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Jordan and Kara Welter of Spokane, Kloie Welter, Miranda, Austin and Kissandra Murinko of Spokane.

Alan drove truck for URM and retired after 35 years.

He served in the Army and was stationed on Okinawa during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed boxing and was on the all Army Boxing Team earning several awards.

Over the years he loved playing softball as a first baseman.

Boating was also a favorite pastime.

He spent most of his summers on Coeur D’Alene Lake.

A Memorial Service is being held October 18th at 1:00 pm at Mt.

Spokane Church, 6311 E. Mt.

Spokane Park Dr., Mead, WA.
