Beggs shows leadership

Our current prosecuting attorney, Steve Tucker, certainly hasn’t shown any real leadership within the office and often seems to have difficulty making any decision. One candidate for this office, Larry Haskell, was a member of Tucker’s team for some time, and if he is as concerned about the community as he professes, it would seem that perhaps he would have spoken up on any number of occasions for the community rather than sit silent as part of that office.

Another candidate, Breean Beggs, is not only a very successful attorney, but has also dedicated a tremendous amount of his time, working with citizen volunteers, to design and promote a smarter justice system for Spokane County; one that can save us taxpayers money and provide alternative sentencing, other than placing yet another head on a bed at Geiger for an offender, who may be delinquent in a traffic fine.

I’m looking for a candidate who not only respects citizen involvement, but donates the time to sit down and work as one, not just talk about it during an election campaign. For that and the fact that Beggs provides real insight to his plans if elected prosecutor, he gets my vote.
