Police search for suspect in robberies

Police believe that two coffee stand robberies reported today and Friday are connected and are looking for a suspect. The first robbery was reported at Walnut Street Perk at 1511 W. Third at 12:40 p.m. Friday. The second was reported at 12:15 p.m. today at Bare Beans Espresso, 7 W. Pacific. In the second robbery the suspect had a gun tucked in his waistband, witnesses said. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s or 30s wearing a beanie hat. In today’s robbery he was wearing a gray hoodie and riding a bike. Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call 911 or Crime Check at 456-2233.
