Obituary: Tarkington, Kenneth Earl

TARKINGTON, Kenneth Earl Passed away on October 13, 2014 at the age of 95 in his bed, next to his wife of 70 years.

Ken owned and operated Hallmark Cleaners in Santa Monica, CA, for 33 years and moved to Spokane in 1992 to retire.

Ken served on active duty in the U.S. Army during World War II in North Africa as a forward observer until he was wounded in the line of duty and medically retired at the rank of First Lieutenant in 1944.

Ken was a wonderful husband, loving grandfather, and liked by nearly everyone that met him.

Ken is survived by his wife, Geneva, his grandchildren Bret, Kelly, and Mark and great-grandchildren Maya and Myrin.
