Obituary: Wuesthoff, Margaret Belle (Schultz) Hardin

Age 95

WUESTHOFF, Margaret Belle (Schultz) Hardin (Age 95) Passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2014 at Serene Meadows in Davenport.

Margaret was born in Valley, WA on Friday, June 13, 1919 to George and Mamie Schultz.

Her family moved to Davenport soon after.

She graduated from Davenport High School in 1937.

In 1940, she married William Hardin.

From this loving marriage came three children.

She and Bill lived in Davenport until they moved out to the family farm north of town in 1956.

They raised wheat and cattle out on the farm until they semi-retired in 1979.

Bill passed away that December.

In 1983 she married William Wuesthoff.

They made a home in Davenport.

They traveled with friends and especially enjoyed salmon fishing at Sekiu, WA every fall.

In 2003 they moved to Serene Meadows Adult Family Home in Davenport.

He passed away in 2008.

Margaret was a lifetime member of the Davenport Presbyterian Church, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Davenport Community Grange.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and her 3 siblings, Glen Schultz, Ruth Foote, and C.W.

(Bud) Schultz.

She is survived by Karen Gayle Smith, Mechanicsville, VA, Mike (Jody) Hardin, Davenport, WA, and Ann (Charles) Johnston, Davenport, WA.

She is also survived by three grandsons, Chris Smith, Scott and Craig Hardin, and by one granddaughter, Elesha Johnston.

She also has four great grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Sebastian, Asia, and Cade Hardin and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was a loving Mom, a caring Grandma, a hard worker, and a special friend to many.

Margaret loved to cook, bake, sew, garden, and do various crafts.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home.
