NHL: Martin St. Louis and Rick Nash scored 4 seconds apart late in the second period, tying a New York Rangers record, and Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves Sunday in a 4-0 victory over the visiting San Jose Sharks.

Lundqvist extended his franchise mark with his 51st career shutout as the Rangers won their second consecutive game after losing three straight. He preserved the whitewash by denying Patrick Marleau late in the third period with an acrobatic save after dropping his stick.

Kings edge Wild: Jonathan Quick made 40 saves and Tyler Toffoli had a goal and an assist in Los Angeles’ fourth straight victory, 2-1 over visiting Minnesota.

Toffoli scored an early power-play goal and Tanner Pearson added a third-period goal for the defending Stanley Cup champs, who stayed perfect on their six-game homestand.

Anaheim blank Blues: Sami Vatanen scored two power-play goals and Frederik Andersen stopped 27 shots in his first career shutout, leading the Ducks to a 3-0 victory over St. Louis in Anaheim, California.

Vatanen had his first career multigoal game, scoring on a pair of blistering one-timers.

Flames handle Winnipeg: Mason Raymond had a goal and two assists, and Calgary beat the Jets in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dennis Wideman, Johnny Gaudreau and Raymond scored against Ondrej Pavelec in a span of 6 minutes, 42 seconds, during the second period for Calgary.

Murray beats Ferrer, wins 30th title

TENNIS: Andy Murray continued his recent resurgence by winning his second title in three weeks at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna.

Murray rallied to defeat David Ferrer 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 in a dramatic finish. The Scot lost a 2-0 lead in the deciding set but won four straight games from 5-3 down, ending the match with his ninth ace.

Murray became only the fifth active player with 30 or more titles alongside Roger Federer (81), Rafael Nadal (64), Novak Djokovic (46) and Lleyton Hewitt (30).

The victory also boosted Murray’s chances of getting to the eight-man ATP finals in London next month.

Cilic earns win: U.S. Open champion Marin Cilic won the Kremlin Cup, beating Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-4 in the final in Moscow.

Earlier Sunday, sixth-seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia defeated Romania’s Irina-Camelia Begu 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 to win the women’s event.

Cilic secured qualification for next month’s ATP Finals in London and said he was in good form to face the rest of the world’s top eight.

Berdych knocks off Dimitrov: Top-seeded Tomas Berdych beat defending champion Grigor Dimitrov 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 in Stockholm to win the Stockholm Open for the second time.

Berdych claimed his 10th career title despite wasting a 5-3 lead in the first set. He broke Dimitrov early in each of the next two sets to wrap up the win and stay on course to qualify for the season-ending ATP finals in London.

Tucker named NCAA Woman of the Year

MISCELLANY: Former Notre Dame soccer player Elizabeth Tucker was honored as the NCAA Woman of the Year.

Tucker, from Jacksonville, Florida, had 19 goals and 14 assists in 92 games in four seasons for the Fightling Irish. She helped the team win the 2010 national title.

Tucker earned a degree in business administration from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business in May with a 4.00 grade-point average. She received the 2014 ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and a 2014 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship..

Davis cleared after injury: California receiver Trevor Davis has been released from the hospital after he was hurt on a kickoff return.

Davis was removed from the field on a stretcher in the fourth quarter Saturday against UCLA. The team says he was taken to the hospital for tests before being released.

Davis stayed down on the turf for a long time after appearing to take a knee to the helmet as he was tackled.

Beholder out with fever: Two-time Eclipse Award-winning filly Beholder is out of the Breeders’ Cup.

Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella says Beholder spiked a fever Sunday and the defending champion won’t run in the BC Distaff on Oct. 31.
