4: Spokane Symphony: Mozart & Strauss

The Spokane Symphony Chorale joins the orchestra to sing Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus” – often described as the most beautiful 46 measures in all Western music. The program also features Strauss’ “Death & Transfiguration,” Poulenc’s “Stabat Mater” and Hillborg’s “King Tide.”

5: ‘Tommy’

A Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. The first musical work to ever be billed as a rock opera, this show was the stage adaptation of the Grammy Hall of Fame Award winner for “historical, artistic and significant value” album by English rock band The Who. It is a story about a “deaf, dumb and blind kid” named Tommy and how he touches the lives of the people and the world around him. Troy Nickerson directs. Presented by Lake City Playhouse and Friends of the Bing.
