Obituary: Teufert, Genevieve (Bradley) “Genny”

Age 89

TEUFERT, Genevieve (Bradley) “Genny” Genevieve, born Septenber 15, 1925, entered into rest surrounded by her family, on October 20th, in Spokane, at the age of 89.

Genevieve is survived by her daughters Linda Stanley and Carol (Allen) Cook; six grandchildren Andrea (Don) Hood, Shannon (Gene) Thompson, David (Colleen) Cook, Darren (Jen) Lehman, Heather (Adam) Crowder, and Todd (Chris) Stanley, in addition to eleven great-grandchildren Tim, Jordan, Taylor, Rebekah, Kyla, Gabe, Hailey, Isaac, Abby, Morgan, and Ashley.

She is preceded in death by her husband Merton and the day of Genevieve’s passing would have been Merton’s birthday, what a celebration!

In 1957, Genevieve was selected as the first of ten original meter maids for the City of Spokane and retired after 26 years of service.

Genevieve was an amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She was generous, kind, and compassionate.

She will be deeply missed by all.

Memorial service will be held at Opportunity Christian Church, 708 N. Pines, Spokane Valley, on October 28, 2014 at 11:00 am, reception to follow.
