Police seek suspect in fatal stabbing

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives are searching for a suspect in the murder of Richard W. Whipple, who was found stabbed in his Browne’s Addition apartment on Oct. 2. Police suspect Chrystal L. Huff, 40, stabbed Whipple to death in his apartment in the 1600 block of W. Pacific. Huff has previous convictions for assault, violating a protection order, obstructing a law enforcement officer and conspiracy to possess a controlled substance. Detectives are seeking help from the public in locating Huff. She was scheduled to meet detectives for an interview regarding the homicide investigation and did not show up. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
