Obituary: Coffey, Ella
Age 97
Mom lived most of her life in Compton and San Pedro, CA before moving to Spokane in 2002.
Prior to her retirement she was an elementary school teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District.
In addition to teaching, she loved animals, gardening and classical music.
She married Thomas Coffey in 1940 and together they raised six sons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her son, Lawrence and her daughter-in-law, Paula.
She is survived by sons, Leon (Joanne) Coffey, Lewis Coffey, Lance Coffey, Lyle (Nancy) Coffey, Lynn (Debbie) Coffey; and her grandchildren, Andrea Coffey (Tom Hicks), Kevin Coffey, and Jessica Coffey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 428 W. 19th Ave. Spokane, WA 99203.
Interment will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in California.
