Obituary: Skok, Richard Louis “Dick”

SKOK, Richard Louis “Dick” Captain, United States Coast Guard (Ret.)

80 Years of Life Deacon Dick Skok, age 80, passed away at his home on October 9, 2014, with his wife of sixty years and his son, Terry, at his side.

Dick had a very full life, and he touched so many people in his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Skok, an infant daughter, “Angel” Annette Suzanne, and an infant grandson, John Richard.

He leaves behind his wife, Marcine; six children, Stephanie, Joe, Terry, Melinda, Annette, and Michelle; and fourteen grandchildren.

Dick’s family give many thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all their love and care.

A Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 31, 2014, and a Funeral Mass honoring Dick will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 1, 2014, at St. Mary Presentation Catholic Church in Deer Park located at East 602-6th Avenue, followed with interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery with military honors.

A reception will follow at the church’s social hall.
