John was born August 2, 1935 to Clarence and Ada Remund in Sisseton, SD.
He and wife Jean moved from South Dakota to Spokane, WA in 1961 where John drove truck and they raised their family.
His passions were work, taking care of his family, relentless attention to his lawn, and afternoon coffee with his trucker friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Crouch Remund.
He is survived by his five daughters, Tammy (Rick) Zimmer, Terri (Randy) Stella, Val (Kevin) Enos, Stacy (Jeff) Main, and Stephanie (Eddie) Robins, twenty grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale (Anita) Remund, Norman (Rosalynn, d.2008) Remund of Wilmot, SD, and sister Merlys (Dale) Lewis, of Minneapolis, MN: and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service is Saturday, November 1, 2014, 10:00am at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines, Spokane Valley, WA.
Interment at Pines Cemetery to follow.
