Montana cruises to easy win over Central Washington

Travon Van reached the end zone the first three times he touched the ball Saturday in Montana’s 48-14 win over Central Washington in Missoula. Montana (1-1), playing without injured starting quarterback Jordan Johnson, turned to Van to dismantle the Division II Wildcats (0-1).

South Dakota St. 44, Cal Poly 18: The Jackrabbits needed each of Zach Lujan three TD passes and all of Zach Zenner’s 193 rushing yards in Brookings, South Dakota.

North Dakota 16, Robert Morris 13: Joe Mollberg threw a second-half touchdown and North Dakota held on to beat the Colonials in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Northern Arizona 27, Abilene Christian 21: Kyren Poe passed for 293 yards and one touchdown and ran for another to lead the Lumberjacks over the Wildcats in Abilene, Texas.

Montana St. 57, Black Hills St. 10: Dakota Prukop threw two touchdown passes and ran for three more to lead the Bobcats to a rout of the Division II Yellow Jackets in Bozeman, Montana.

Southeastern Louisiana 41, Southern Utah 14: Drew Misita had a 10-yard interception return for a touchdown on the first play of the game, Bryan Bennett threw for two touchdowns and the Lions beat the Thunderbirds in Hammond, Louisiana.

North Dakota St. 24, Weber St.7: John Crockett ran for 123 yards and a touchdown to help the Bison beat the Wildcats in Ogden, Utah, extending the NDSU’s Football Championship Subdivision-record winning streak to 26 games.

Utah St. 40, Idaho St. 20: Jalen Davis intercepted two passes, returning one 44 yards for a touchdown to help the Aggies pull away from the Bengals in Logan, Utah.

UNLV 13, Northern Colorado 12: George Naufahu ran 22 times for 90 yards and the Rebels overcame four turnovers to beat the Bears in Las Vegas.

UC Davis 52, Fort Lewis 17: Corey Galindo had three touchdown receptions and Jermale Jefferson rushed for two scores as the Aggies rolled past the Division-II Skyhawks in Davis, California.

Portland St. 45, Western Oregon 38: Paris Penn raced 48 yards for a touchdown and passed 36 yards for another to help the Vikings pull away from the Division II Wolves in Portland, Oregon.
