Alzheimer’s walk takes place Saturday

The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s is in Spokane on Saturday, starting at the north bank shelter in Riverfront Park.

The national walk that is in more than 600 communities nationwide is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research, according to the Alzheimer’s Association web site. Alzheimer’s Disease is the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
