Seattle’s re-signing of defensive lineman Demarcus Dobbs, announced by his agent on Friday, became offical on Monday.

Dobbs becomes only the fourth of Seattle’s 17 unrestricted free agents to re-sign with the team. A couple more – notably, center Steve Schilling, who coach Pete Carroll said last week was likely to re-up – may still happen.

But Dobbs’ re-signing serves as a good time to review the status of all of Seattle’s free agents as the signing period, which began March 10, ends its third week. Recall that the signing period never really ends – free agents can sign at any time.

But for now, this is how it looks (players listed by number of snaps played for Seattle in 2014):

Unrestricted free agents

G James Carpenter, 864 snaps played in 2014: Seattle’s starting left guard last season, he signed a four-year contract with the New York Jets valued at almost $20 million.

CB Byron Maxwell,  717 snaps: Maxwell signed a six-year deal worth as much as $63 million with the Eagles.

DT Kevin Williams, 455 snaps: Carroll said last week at the NFL League Meetings that the team was still talking to Williams, who remains unsigned. Seattle brought in Letroy Guion for a visit over the weekend, but Guion has agreed to a deal to stay with the Packers. That would indicate Seattle would still have room for Williams if it wants – and if Williams still wants to play.

DE O’Brien Schofield, 341 snaps: Schofield signed a one-year deal with Atlanta where former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is now the head coach worth $1.7 million.

LB Malcolm Smith, 286 snaps: The Super Bowl MVP a year ago signed a two-year deal with Oakland to play for the Raiders and new defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr., his position coach with the Seahawks as well as at USC. It’s worth a reported $3.75 million.

C Lemuel Jeanpierre, 227: Jeanpierre remains unsigned and there has been no indication Seattle is looking to bring him back, with Schilling apparently due back in the fold and the team also having Patrick Lewis, Drew Nowak and Jared Wheeler on the roster and also still on the hunt for an outside veteran free agent – with Chris Myers, released by Houston, an option.

TE Tony Moeaki, 206: Moeaki was expendable after the trade for Jimmy Graham and later signed with Atlanta.

C Steve Schilling, 205: Schilling, who ended the season on IR with a knee injury, is in talks to return to the team, according to what Carroll said at the league meetings last week. But the signing has yet to be officially announced.

DL/FB Will Tukuafu, 160: Tukuafu, who played both ways in the Super Bowl and was the team’s starting fullback the second half of the season after being signed when Derrick Coleman was lost for the year, has yet to sign with anyone and indications are that he will not return to Seattle. The Seahawks also have Mike Zimmer on the roster as a backup fullback.

LS Clint Gresham, 142: Gresham, the ultra-dependable long snapper for Seattle since 2010, was re-signed to a three-year deal worth a total of $2.7 million on Friday, including a $300,000 signing bonus.

S Jeron Johnson, 98: It was thought that Johnson would likely look to leave for some place where he had a better chance of playing. And that’s what happened as he signed a two-year deal worth $4 million with Washington.

DE Demarcus Dobbs, 69: Dobbs re-signed officially on Monday.

QB Tarvaris Jackson, 3: Jackson took a recent visit to Miami. But he has yet to sign with a team and Carroll said last week he is hopeful that Jackson will re-sign with Seattle.

DL Landon Cohen, 0: Cohen, signed late in the season, saw action in the final two payoff games. But it’s not appearing he will be back with the Seahawks.

TE Anthony McCoy, 0: McCoy, who missed a second consecutive season with an Achilles injury, signed a one-year deal to stay with Seattle through 2015.

LB Heath Farwell, 0: Farwell was on IR all of last season after suffering groin injury in preseason and spent the year helping coach. He said at the Super Bowl he’d like to play again.

DL D’Anthony Smith, 0: Smith, on IR all last season with a biceps injury, signed a one-year deal to remain with the Seahawks.

Restricted free agents

WR Jermaine Kearse, 821 snaps: Seattle gave Kearse a second-round tender, guaranteeing him $2.35 million in 2015 and the Seahawks a second-round pick if he signs a bigger deal elsewhere.

WR Bryan Walters, 108: The team did not tender Walters and he became an unrestricted free agent and signed with Jacksonville.

DL Greg Scruggs, 68: Scruggs signed a one-year contract worth a total of $785,000 with a salary of $660,000 with the Seahawks.

LB Mike Morgan, 27: Morgan signed a one-year contract Monday to stay with Seattle.

Exclusive rights free agents

WR Ricardo Lockette, 273: Lockette was given a qualifying offer of $660,000 to stay with Seattle in 2015.

DB DeShawn Shead, 93: Shead was also given a qualifying offer to stay with Seattle.
