Obituary: Peck, Myron Donald

Age 73

PECK, Myron Donald (Age 73) Myron, our dear Husband, Father, Papa and Friend passed away suddenly on April 1, 2015 at his lake home in Twin Lakes, Idaho.

Myron was born on October 25, 1941 in Spokane to Donald and Lillian (Dolly) Peck.

Myron spent most of his life in Spokane and graduated from West Valley High School in 1959.

Following college, he was in the Army National Guard Reserves.

He met the love of his life, Linda D. Juul in 1960 and was married on May 14, 1966.

He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Linda Peck and their three children, Darren Peck (Kelley), Katie Marks (Lee), and Jeniene Bengtsson (Ole); grandchildren, Maddie (McDaris) and Devon (Bengtsson), who both adored their Papa and several cousins.

Myron spent his working life as a plumbing contractor, working for his father-in-law, Larry Juul (Virginia) at Juul Plumbing and then opened up his own company Peck Plumbing - a family tradition going back to his great uncle’s Peck Plumbing company in 1906.

He sold his business in 1999 and went to work as a project manager and mechanical estimator for two local contractors until his retirement in 2004.

Myron was an all-around fun-loving, caring, kind man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He loved fishing, woodworking, photography, telling stories, gardening, plotting against the thieving squirrels and asking for cookies every Christmas.

You’d think he never got any at home!

His Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 p.m. at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall.

Memorial contributions may be made in Myron’s name to St. David’s.
