Obituary: Gambol-Graham-Swacker, Phyllis J.

Age 82

GAMBOL-GRAHAM-SWACKER, Phyllis J.

(Age 82) Passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s in Spokane, Washington on April 20, 2015.

Phyllis was born on January 12, 1933 to Ed and Arlona Gambol in Akron, Ohio.

She was one of six children and was the sole survivor of the whole family.

She married Don Graham and they had five children and they were married for 43 years.

Don passed in 1991 and then Phyllis re-married Raymond Virgil Swacker on November 4, 1995 and they were married for 17 happy years.

Do to health problems, she returned to Spokane to be with her loving family in July of 2011.

She was cared for by Dar and Ricky for two-and-a-half years before moving into Fairview Assisted Living.

Phyllis loved to camp and fish and attend Open Bible Church with Don; however you would always catch her singing.

She loved spending time with family and friends and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ricky was instrumental in her daily care and the family would like to thank him for that.

She is preceded by her late husbands, Don and Virgil and her daughter Karen Hasbrouck, parents Ed and Arlona Graham and her siblings Eddie, Donald, Kenny, Wayne, and Mary.

She is survived by her daughters Patsy, Darlene, and Cheryl; son Russell; numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2 pm in the Rose Chapel at Hennessey Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be at Fairmount Memorial Park on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 1 pm.
