Obituary: Robinson, Gerald W. “Jerry”

Age 62

ROBINSON, Gerald W. “Jerry” (Age 62) A Garfield, WA farmer, passed away April 13, 2015 following a farming accident.

Jerry was born on January 31, 1953 at Colfax, WA to Benjamin and Agnes M. (McCormick) Robinson.

He was raised on the family farm near Elberton, WA.

He attended the Garfield School District and the Heavy equipment repair program at Spokane Community College.

Jerry worked as a mechanic at Cash Hardware in Tekoa, WA, until he began farming his parent’s and his own farm.

He retired last year.

Jerry was grateful for his many loyal friends.

He liked being able to lend a helping hand, with words or deeds, and always with a keen sense of humor.

All enjoyed the names and antics of his pets: Dog, Yellow Dog, Black Dog, Bart Bart, Shop Kitty, Barn Kitty and Abbey.

Jerry will be forever missed by his four older siblings and their spouses: Melvin (Marge) Robinson, Palouse, WA, Ronald (Marlene) Robinson, Delta Junction, AK, Linda (Cormac) Thompson, Prosser, WA and Shirley (Robert) Morasch, Endicott, WA.

Jerry is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friends: Marsha Colby, Melissa Hunt and Alexandria Martinez.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Ben Robinson in 1999, his mother Agnes Robinson, March 14, 2015.

A Celebration of Life for Jerry and his parents will be held on Saturday June 13, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Garfield American Legion Building in Garfield, WA.

Memorials gifts may be given to the Ladow Court Assisted Living, Box 368, Garfield, WA 99130 or the Garfield Fire Dept.
