Car crash kills woman near Hauser

A woman died Monday evening after a car she was riding in collided with a motorhome near Hauser, Idaho. Her name, along with the drivers of two cars involved and the motorhome were being withheld Monday evening as Kootenai County authorities investigated. A press release said the accident happened at the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Pleasantview Road at 5:30 p.m. The accident closed the road for several hours. Initial reports state a car attempting to avoid a collision with a car that had failed to yield at a stop sign swerved and struck the motorhome. The woman was a passenger in the car and died. The driver did not suffer life-threatening injuries. The people in the motorhome were not injured.
