Elena Delle Donne, Courtney Vandersloot lead Sky past Storm, 94-84
SEATTLE – Elena Delle Donne and former Gonzaga University star Courtney Vandersloot each scored 21 points to help the Chicago Sky beat the Seattle Storm 94-84 on Friday night.
Delle Donne was back in the lineup after missing a game with an ankle injury. The WNBA scoring leader was 5 of 13 from the field and 11 of 11 at the foul line. The third-year pro was greeted with cheers during introductions, finally playing at Key Arena after missing 2013 with a foot sprain and last season to Lyme Disease.
Vandersloot added eight assists for the Sky (15-10).
Markeisha Gatling, waived by the Sky during training camp, led the league-worst Storm (6-19) with a career-high 16 points. Crystal Langhorne and Alysha Clark each had 13.
