I-90 rollover near Ellensburg injures driver

Associated Press

ELLENSBURG – A 23-year-old Kent woman was injured after she nearly fell asleep while driving late Friday afternoon on Interstate 90 about 3 miles west of Ellensburg, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Patricia Miller was taken to KVH Hospital after her 2002 Ford Taurus left the road while eastbound, causing her to overcorrect and roll the vehicle before it came to rest on its top in the road. The car was engulfed in flames, troopers said. Her condition was not immediately available. The collision blocked both eastbound lanes for about three hours.

Troopers said the cause of the accident was fatigue and charges of wheels off the roadway are pending. The car was totalled. She was wearing a seat belt and intoxicants were not involved.
