Track and field: EWU’s Kimes sets pentathlon records
Eastern Washington’s Jozie Kimes won the women’s pentathlon in record-setting fashion to lead the Eagles at the Candy Cane VIII in the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse Friday in Cheney.
Kimes racked up 3,499 points, which set a new school record and Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse record.
Eastern Washington’s Aaron Pullin is in first place after the first day of events in the men’s heptathlon. He won the 55-meter dash, long jump and shot put. Action continues Saturday.
