Power restored to about 2,200 Avista customers

From staff reports

About 2,200 Avista Utilities customers were without power Sunday afternoon after a transformer failed.

Crews were able to isolate the faulty equipment that served a broad area from the South Hill to the Glenrose Prairie, and restore power around it by about 3 p.m., according to Avista spokeswoman Jessie Wuerst.

The power failure was reported at about 12:45 p.m.

The outage stretches from the South Hill to the Glenrose Prairie.
