Huskies advance in NCAA volleyball tournament

Liana Sybeldon had 14 kills and and Melanie Wade 10 to lead the fifth-seeded Washington Huskies to a 23-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-12, 15-8 victory over Ohio State to advance to the regional semifinals at the University of Kentucky in Lexington on Friday night.

Wade, who had five blocks, hit .409 and Sybeldon .206 along with six blocks for Washington (31-2), which hit .154 as a team. Ohio State (25-10) hit .179.

The Huskies will take on fourth-seeded Nebraska, a three-sets winner over BYU, today.
