Volleyball: Washington ousted in Elite Eight

Kadie Rolfzen had 20 kills and 15 digs and Nebraska topped Washington in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I tournament in Lexington, Kentucky. Scores were 25-17, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-21.

The loss snapped the Huskies’ 14-match winning streak.

Washington’s Lianna Sybeldon had 15 kills and six blocks, Melanie Wade had 10 kills, and Katy Beals and Bailey Tanner combined for 46 assists.

The Huskers (30-4) claimed a spot in the Final Four for the first time since 2008. Washington finished with a 31-3 record.
