The prayers of skiers and snowboarders are being answered.

Tuesday night’s snowfall left a perfect winter wonderland for groomers to work their magic at Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park and other resorts in the region.

The new snow has allowed Mt. Spokane resort to open seven days a week through Jan. 3. Another dump of snow is in the forecast to greet the Friday start of night skiing on the state park’s slopes.

“We have more snow now than at the peak of last season,” Brad McQuarrie, resort manager, said Wednesday morning.

“Another 4 to 8 inches of snow is predicted (Thursday) night. You should call in sick on Friday!”
