The Dirt: NW Farm Credit Services remodeling Ambassadors building for new headquarters

Northwest Farm Credit Services plans a $6.1 million remodel of the former Ambassadors Group building, according to city records.

Yost, Mooney & Pugh Construction, the contractor, will update the building for Northwest Farm Credit Services’ new headquarters at 2001 S. Flint Road. The project includes building exterior canopies and a change to the parking lot.

Northwest Farm Credit Services bought the Ambassadors Group Building near Spokane’s airport for $9 million in November 2014. Ambassadors, the Spokane-based education travel company, closed its operations in July.

Drink distributor building in Hayden

Odom Corp., a Bellevue-based wholesale beverage distributor, is building a 92,000-square-foot distribution center and warehouse in Hayden, at 12281 N. Warren St., on a 15-acre parcel.

The project’s estimated construction value is about $9.2 million.

The company also has a 200,000-square-foot West Plains distribution center, at 5810 W. Thorpe Road, which opened in 2014.

CHAS Denny clinic remodel near finish

A $552,000 project recently wrapped up for the downtown Denny Murphy Clinic, operated by Community Health Association of Spokane (CHAS).

Meridian Construction Inc. of Spokane, completed a building addition and interior remodel to the existing structure, at 1001 W. Second Ave. Updates included a new main entry, waiting room, reception desk area, exam rooms and pharmacy.

Another phase of the project for the clinic’s renovation recently began, and that work also was awarded to Meridian Construction for $450,000. That phase includes remodeling the existing exam rooms, restrooms, lab stations and other various support spaces.

AMR leases space for second location

The ambulance company American Medical Response has leased 7,000 square feet of space, at 530 N. Foothills Road in Spokane, as a second location.

Darren Slackman and Grant Person, both of Black Commercial, as well as Dan Cantu of Cantu Commercial, were the agents who handled the transaction.

Lily Kate Boutique to open in Cheney

Lily Kate Boutique has leased 1,725 square feet of retail space at 1818 Second St. in Cheney.

The store will sell women’s and children’s clothing and accessories.

Colin Conway and Chad Carper of Kiemle & Hagood handled the transaction.
