Take the plunge, then warm up with beer and barbecue

Warm up with barbecue and beer after dipping into the bone-chilling waters of Hayden Lake.

The Punks for a Princess Polar Plunge on New Year’s Day raises funds for a young girl in need of a service dog. Proceeds from the event will help pay costs associated with Indy’s training. Indy is short for Independence.

The plunge is at 11 a.m. on New Year’s Day at Honeysuckle Beach on Hayden Lake. The after-party follows at the Mad Bomber Brewing Co. with food by Blue Smoke BBQ, prizes and live music provided by Bird Fight. The cost is $25.
