Eastern Washington guard Tyler Harvey is one of 16 finalists for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award.
Harvey, a junior, leads Division I in scoring offense (23.4 points per game) and 3-pointers per game (4.23). He is fourth in 3-point shooting percentage (45.8), 23rd in free-throw percentage (.873), and leads the Big Sky Conference in scoring, 3-pointers per game and free-throw percentage.
The award recognizes the top shooting guards in Division I men’s college basketball.
“Tyler is as good a shooter as you will find in college basketball,” Eastern head coach Jim Hayford said.
By early March, the list of finalists will be cut to five. The players in contention will be presented to West and the Hall of Fame’s selection committee. The winner will be announced on April 10.
