Manito’s Prugh chosen for PNW hall of fame

TUMWATER, Wash. – The Pacific Northwest Section PGA Hall of Fame has tabbed longtime Manito Golf and Country Club pro Steve Prugh for induction in the Class of 2015.

Prugh, who has served his entire 36-year career at Manito. His first three years were under the mentorship of Pacific Northwest Section Hall of Fame member Jim Shriver and the last 33 years as PGA Head Professional.    Prugh is recognized as a well-rounded professional, skilled in all facets of the game.   Previously, he has been honored by the Pacific Northwest Section as Teacher of the Year, Junior Golf Leader and Golf Professional of the Year.   

Prugh’s record as a professional includes four Hudson Cup teams and five Senior Hudson Cup teams. He also played in the 2006 U.S. Senior Open, and five PGA Professional National Championships.

 Pat Huffer, PGA Head Professional at Crooked River Ranch, joins Prugh in the Class of 2015. Founded in 1981, the Pacific Northwest Section PGA Hall of Fame recognizes those individuals who have distinguished themselves among the professionals in the Pacific Northwest and contributed to the game of golf.
