Tyler Falk of Springfield, Oregon, leads by three strokes after firing a 10-under-par 62 Thursday in the first round of the Lilac City Invitational at The Fairways Golf Course.
Brian Miller of Indian Wells, California; Jessie Schutte of Florence, Oregon; and Jim Mee of Libby, Montana, are tied for second after posting 65s.
Seven others shot in the 60s, including defending champion Tony Robydek of Lakewood, Washington, who carded a 68. Spokane’s Corey Prugh also fired 68.
The low amateur of the day was Cory Flanigan of Otis Orchards, who shot 67.
The tournament is open to the public and continues through Sunday afternoon.
