Heroic Birds of Prey - West Valley Outdoor Learning Center’s HOOT program will introduce audience members to the bird heroes that call the learning center home. Summer Slam High School Basketball - The HUB Sports Center will host a series of summer basketball tournaments for high school teams. Teams will play a minimum of six games over the three-day tournament. The initial 3-4 games will be in a round robin format to determine seeding for the double elimination tournament. Passport to Peace - Through cooperative games, crafts, role-playing and other fun activities, participants ages 6-12 will gain skills in cultivating inner peace, and learn the basics of compassionate communication. The goal is for children to learn how to resolve conflicts peacefully, and to respond to conflict with less fear and an open-hearted attitude, as they begin to see conflict as a natural part of life.
