Condon a letdown
True and honest Republicans cannot re-elect Mayor David Condon. His administration has been atrocious. Consider the severe personnel problems that he created by bringing in Jan Quintrall, Chief Frank Straub and being ineffective in dealing with the others.
Now we have so many people on the payroll who are not doing the job they were originally hired for and who’ve been exiled, shipped and reassigned to avoid lawsuits. Oops, that didn’t work, with $4 million pending. Remember, this was the mayor’s guy for chief. Still a mystery why, except political kinship.
But the failures of the administration started the first winter, when the roads were not sanded and we had hundreds of car crashes. We cannot let Condon continue. Republicans must stop him here. We will not give the big money like last time.
As Sean Hannity reminds us daily, our principles are more important than personalities. Under Condon’s leadership, we have no ombudsman, bigger and costlier government and worse services while he nationally touts our community policing operation, which was started almost 20 years ago. True Republicans cannot vote for him with bigger, costlier government.
