NBA: LeBron James became the youngest player to reach 25,000 career points, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers past the winless Philadelphia 76ers 107-100 on Monday night in Philadelphia.

James had 22 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.

James scored the milestone basket on a dunk with 8:07 left in the fourth quarter. The 30-year-old James became the sixth active player with 25,000 points and the 20th overall. He joined Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki, San Antonio’s Tim Duncan, Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett, Los Angeles’ Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce of the Clippers.

Duncan breaks Stockton’s record: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 19 points, Kawhi Leonard had 18 points and 14 rebounds and the San Antonio Spurs beat the New York Knicks 94-84 on Monday night to give Tim Duncan a milestone victory.

Duncan had 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in his NBA-record 954th victory with one team. He passed Hall of Fame point guard John Stockton, who went 953-551 with the Utah Jazz. Duncan, in his 19th season, is 954-381.

Rockets top Thunder: James Harden scored 37 points, and the Houston Rockets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 110-105 in Houston for their first win of the season.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 29 points and Russell Westbrook added 25 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists.

Lillard sparks Trail Blazers: Damian Lillard had 34 points and seven assists, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat Minnesota 106-101 in Minneapolis after the Timberwolves honored fallen coach Flip Saunders with an emotional pregame tribute.

Warriors destroy Grizzlies: Stephen Curry scored 21 of his 30 points in an emphatic third-quarter stretch, then sat out the fourth quarter, and the reigning NBA MVP followed up his 53-point performance from three days earlier with another gem to lead the unbeaten Golden State Warriors past the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 119-69.

Price, Cueto top free-agent list

Baseball: Pitchers David Price, Johnny Cueto, Jordan Zimmermann, Jeff Samardzija and Scott Kazmir were among 139 players who became free agents, a day after the World Series ended.

About three dozen more players might go on the market, including Zack Greinke, depending on decisions this week about 2016 options and opt-out clauses.

Among the position players on the market are outfielders Yoenis Cespedes, Jason Heyward and Justin Upton; catcher Matt Wieters; first basemen Chris Davis and Mike Napoli; second basemen Daniel Murphy, Ben Zobrist and Howie Kendrick; and shortstop Ian Desmond.

Grizzlies could face felony charges

Football: The Missoula County attorney is asking police to further investigate felony burglary allegations against five University of Montana students, including three football players.

Kirsten Pabst said that all five have been released on bond and their court appearances delayed. Pabst stated that the initial investigation did not provide enough information for her office to determine if felony charges were appropriate.

Officials have not released any information about what led to the arrests early Sunday of players Kendrick Van Ackeren, Joseph Counts and John Schmaing, along with Courtney Reep and Maclain Tomlinson.

All three players were suspended from the team indefinitely.

Barrett will forfeit aid: Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett will forfeit his summer financial aid as part of his punishment for being cited for operating a vehicle while impaired.

Barrett was cited for the misdemeanor early Saturday morning by Columbus police and suspended one game by coach Urban Meyer.

Dallas’ team will be called the Wings

WNBA: The WNBA team relocating to North Texas will be called the Dallas Wings.

The franchise moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma, after six seasons and will play at the 7,000-seat arena on the University of Texas at Arlington campus.

The team name and logo were introduced, with players Skylar Diggins and Odyssey Sims among those attending.

Senators’ Stone suspended 2 games

NHL: Ottawa Senators leading scorer Mark Stone was suspended for two games by the NHL on Monday for his hit to the head of Detroit’s Landon Ferraro.

Stone, who leads the Senators with 13 points, was assessed a minor penalty for an illegal check to the head during Saturday’s game.

Blackhawks cool off Kings: Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews each had a goal and an assist to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-2 win over Los Angeles, snapping the Kings’ seven-game win streak.
