The Idaho Vandals men’s golf team struggled in its final tournament of the fall, placing 14th among 17 teams Wednesday at the Warrior Princeville (Hawaii) Makai Invitational.
The Vandals completed three rounds at the Makai Golf Club at 11-over-par 875, 51 strokes behind team champion Alabama.
Sophomore Daniel Sutton led Idaho by tying for 43rd place at 3-over 219, including a final-round 70. Junior Ryan Porch was another shot back, followed by sophomore Ian Kim (221) and senior Rylee Iacolucci (222).
Champion Cameron Young of Wake Forest finished at 15-under 201, two shots ahead of Alabama’s Tom Lovelady.
