Ultralight aircraft lands in Columbia River

ST. HELENS, Ore. – Authorities said a small ultralight aircraft landed in the Columbia River Saturday morning near St. Helens.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said the two occupants avoided injury, KGW-TV reported.

Authorities said the aircraft took off from Woodland, Washington.

Officials did not say why the aircraft landed in the river.
