Chiefs’ Anderson-Dolan helps lead Canadian team to gold medal

Spokane Chiefs forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan had a goal and an assist in Team Canada White’s 6-2 victory over Russia to win the gold medal at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

In six tournament games, Anderson-Dolan had one goal and three assists. Chiefs teammate Hayden Ostir also played in six games but did not have any points.

The two were among five Western Hockey League players who represented Canada on three teams at the tournament.

Braves lose at home: Mason Jones scored in the first period for the Spokane Braves (3-15-0-0-4) but the Nelson Leafs (12-7-0-0-0) did all the scoring from there, including three goals in the third period, in a 4-1 KIJHL victory at Eagles Ice-A-Rena.
