Eric McClellan: Energy at both ends of court

Eric McClellan became eligible last season at semester break but a foot injury delayed his debut until Jan. 22. He averaged just 8 minutes and 1.9 points per game, but he had 14 assists versus four turnovers.

The 6-3 senior from Austin, Texas, possesses quickness and speed. He can be a pest defensively and is capable of providing an energetic presence at both ends of the floor. He averaged 14.3 points for Vanderbilt before being dismissed 12 games into the 2014 season. He scored 29 points against Butler and 22 versus Texas.

“I know how I approach my work and I can say the same about every guard on the team,” McClellan said. “Every guard is really competitive and we expect a lot from each other.”
