The Dirt: New townhouses near Gonzaga; bagel shop opening downtown
A six-unit townhouse project is under construction at 815 E. Sharp Ave., near the Gonzaga University campus. City building records list an estimated project value of $1 million.
Greg and Celeste Kuntz are developing the Stones Throw Townhouses project.
The units are expected to be available for rent in early June, and each residential space will have about 1,800 square feet. Christopher Morlan Architect of Spokane is the designer.
Stones Throw is located on the north side of Sharp, just west of the Hamilton Street intersection.
New Einstein bagel shop planned
Baker Construction will build tenant space for another Einstein Bros. Bagels eatery in downtown Spokane, as part of the new Peppertree Plaza two-story office and retail space.
The work that is expected to start at the end of November will prepare 2,600 square feet for the restaurant at 2 W. Third Ave., near the Interstate 90 exit at Division Street. The restaurant space is expected to be finished by the end of January.
Another Einstein Bros. Bagels opened in 2014 in the Logan Square Retail Center, 1601 N. Division St. Two smaller Einstein locations are on Gonzaga University’s campus, including a Cataldo Hall kiosk and a space in the Hemmingson Center. Nationwide, the company has more than 600 outlets.
Northside property sold for $2 million
A property occupied by CSL Plasma in north Spokane has sold for $2 million.
Spokane-based Equilibrium Investments LLC bought the site as an investment property, and CSL Plasma is remaining under a 15-year lease.
The sale involved the building at 2126 N. Monroe St. and three parcels totaling nearly an acre that include CSL Plasma’s adjacent parking lot, located at 908 W. Knox Ave.
NAI Black agents Ryan Towner and Dallas Lightner represented the seller, Flagship Spokane Investments LLC of Atlanta. Jon Jeffreys, also of NAI Black, represented the buyer.
VALIC branch leases space
A branch of VALIC, a retirement and investment planning company, is leasing 2,300 square feet at 1010 N. Normandie St. in Spokane.
Jon Greene, branch manager, said the office moved into the space from another location on Nov. 6 under a five-year lease.
Dan Cantu of Cantu Commercial Properties and Mike King of Black Commercial were the agents involved in the transaction.
