Three arrested in shooting death of 17-year-old boy

COUPEVILLE, Wash. – The Island County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three Oak Harbor residents in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy on Whidbey Island.

The Skagit Valley Herald reported the arrests were made on Friday afternoon. Bryan Rayford, 20, David Nunez Jr., 19, and Kitana Hernandez, 19, were facing first-degree murder charges, Island County Sheriff Mark Brown said.

John S. Johnson was shot at about 1 a.m. Wednesday and died on Friday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
